Fruit + Nut Chocolate Bars

MAKES 3 BARS

  • Gluten Free

  • Dairy Free

  • Vegan

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup coconut oil

  • 3 heaped tsp cacao powder

  • dash of maple syrup

  • mixed fruit & nuts

  • coconut flakes

METHOD

  1. Melt coconut oil in the microwave or in a saucepan on the stove

  2. Transfer the melted coconut oil to a bowl and add in the cacao powder, mix to combine

  3. Add maple syrup, taste test and add more maple syrup to sweeten if needed

  4. Using a silicon tray/lined baking tray/muffin tin, evenly pour out chocolate mixture

  5. Add your choice of nuts/seeds into each chocolate bar - I used an oven roasted nuts mix with cranberries, cherries and coconut

  6. Place in the freezer and let set for a minimum of 2 hours

  7. Store in the freezer in an air tight container
